Our Approach

Munchkinz Pre-School Nursery’s main aim is to provide quality care and a high standard of educational experiences for children aged from 2 years to 5 years. Our approach does not only help children to be school ready but also to ensure each child develops to their best individual potential.

We believe that every child has the right to a happy childhood and best possible start to their learning journey.  We are firm believers in development through play.  This is not only our Company’s ethos but is also reflected through our teaching methods and curriculum planning.

We are a fully inclusive nursery and welcome children of all abilities to our setting. Our nursery is fully accessible by wheelchair and we have a separate disabled toilet.  We have a dedicated SEN Officer to help children who require additional learning support to ensure children fully participate in all activities and achieve their full potential.

We realise that the safety of your child is of the highest importance whilst they are in our care.  We are pleased to be located in premises that offer bright spacious play areas and also have a private enclosed outdoor garden.   The premises are safe, secure and fitted with CCTV cameras in all outdoor areas.  Daily health and safety checks are carried out to ensure children can learn and grow without any risk to their safety.

We have a wide range of toys and play materials for both indoor and outdoor play to suit all ages.  All equipment is in good working condition and conforms to BS EN safety standards. A thorough Health & Safety inspection on all toys/equipment is carried every four months. 

We have a large main hall used for activities to learn about daily life, the world, social play, messy play, creative arts & crafts and physical development. Whilst our other hall is used for a more structured learning programme in literacy, maths, mental development and reading. The garden area provides good opportunities for children to develop their motor skills and learn about the world we live in.
