Munchkinz Pre-School Nursery understands the difficulties faced by parents in these demanding economic times and to help ensure all children benefit from some form of early years education offers funded childcare for 2,3 and 4 year olds.

2 Year Funding

Some children may be eligible for the 15 hours free 2 year funding depending on personal circumstances. 

Parents will need to go online to the Redbridge Parent Portal (link below) and follow instructions provided.

Parent Portal: Home (redbridge.gov.uk)

 The Parent Portal system will then enter your details and carry out a check.  This will show whether you are ‘Found’ (eligible) or ‘Not Found’ (not eligible) for 2 year funding.

All eligible parents will be contacted with confirmation they can access a free childcare place. 

Parents will then need to provide Munchkinz Pre-School Nursery with a copy of the confirmation email to secure their child’s place.  We will then process the application on your behalf.

If parents receive a ‘Not Found’ or ‘Error’ email they will need to re-check the eligibility criteria and ensure they have entered their details correctly.  For further help parents can contact FiND on 0800 587 7500.

Children who qualify for 2 year funding can access their free funding place from the first term after their 2nd birthday until they  turn 3 years, for example a child who turns 2 yrs in October 2018 can access their free place from January 2019.   Thereafter, they will automatically qualify for the free 3 year 15 hours funding (see below)

3 & 4 Year Funding

All children aged 3 & 4 are entitled to 15 hours free funding, regardless of personal circumstances.  Parents are required to complete a Parent/Carer Declaration form, which is available from the Nursery Manager.

Children can access their free funding from the first term after their 3^rd birthday up until they start reception class at school.  For example a child who turns 3 yrs in October 2018 can access their free place from January 2019.

30 hour funding Childcare & Tax Free Childcare

Parents can apply for both the 30 hour funding and tax-free childcare via a single application on the Childcare Choices website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Parents need to complete their details online and if you are eligible you will receive an 11 digit code that you will need to provide to us along with your National Insurance Number and your child’s birth certificate.  We will then process the funding application on your behalf.

Parents will need to reconfirm their eligibility code every 3 months and will receive an automatic reminder form the Government before any deadlines.

Universal Credit Childcare
